The basics. I'm 28 years old, working on my second degree at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I currently have a BS in Computer Science and am working towards my MS in Information Technology. Interests include art, science, ultimate frisbee, swimmming, coffee, and of course, computers.

I have played ultimate frisbee for over 10 years now. Since starting college I have competed in several tournaments, including one in Flordia on Spring break one year and one in Pennsylvannia for three summers. I recommend checking out the sport. Look for information and local leagues at www.upa.org.

I swam all 4 years of high school for the Lansing Bobcats in Lansing, NY. I joined the RIT team during my second year at RIT. I injured my knee outside of swimming and the season was cut short. Since then I have only made it back in the pool for my own exercise, as my knee has still had issues and I have limited time. I currently am coaching swimming at the Ithaca YMCA in the evenings also. One way to stay involved in the sport if I can't do it myself.

Coffee, and more importantly, coffee shops I greatly enjoy. In Ithaca is Stella's. One half is coffee shop, one half is bar (in which I work as a door host and barback). It's located in Collegetown a few blocks from where I live and I have been going there for many years. I highly recommend it if you are ever in Ithaca. The food is also excellent, and the bar and coffee shop at night are great places to spend time.

Computers is probably the biggest focus of my life. I am currently working on my Masters degree in Information Technology, focusing on multimedia, virtual worlds, and software design. For my undergrad, I focused on multimedia and software engineering. I am currently working with Jeff Sonstein, a professor at RIT, on the xVRML project. I am also working on Carina, a program based on the xVRML file format. Outside of school, I also have the Alternity project, which is a basic instant messenger for Linux and Mac, and eventually Windows. It is certainly not as complex as other IM programs out there, but it's more of a learning experience for me. Links to information on both Carina and Alternity are in the menu. I also work full time for Singlebrook Technology.
